As far as size this is outside dimensions. Yes, inside will be smaller.
I'd go higher than 10' if AT ALL possible. If I could do it over that would be #1 on my list so far. One of Dennis' designs threads that isn't too awfully old was a perfect example of how a 12' or higher room can really make a difference once there is more than one row, especially when there are three rows. Second on my list would be a wider room. I thought 18' was plenty wide but I could have easily just made it wider since was from ground up build. I have a limit in depth but didn't extend to its max of 45' available which is fine. Your proposed 24(?)' width would be perfect for 4-5 wide seating IMO.

I had a huge post of my room/equipment breakdown typed up and a salesman at AT&T opened my browser and lost it all!!!!! It was the first time I'd truly broken down my expenses. Maybe I'll get bored enough to start over just to see how it is divided up.

I spent 900.00 on my ht, half of a two car garage.Since I don't do sheetrock I used panelling, that was a mistake,I get a lot of flexing of the panelling but room treatments helped.Another thing I wish I didn't do was put carpet over concrete, should have put a wood floordown,Ive got appx twenty thousand in eq and other things,I didn't buy it all at once just upgraded a little at a time, hey audiovideoholic where can find pics of your ht,love seeing other My boys rooms!
