Today we were able to get the duct work done and build the boxes for the supply and return. Tomorrow Jeff is going to line the boxes with linacoustic. Thank you to fellow AVS'er beyond for coming by and helping out. It was great to see you again and I appreciate your help! Here are some updated pictures.

Had a blast! Well worth the Sunday afternoon to get to learn from a master like Jeff; love how he goes into full teacher mode explaining everything we're doing. Going to help me a ton on finishing out my build; that much is for certain. Ya'll holler at me on Saturday if you need some more help, I really want to see those star ceilings... I think I have my wife convinced on them.

Thanks. If you are up for next weekend we will be here. Tomorrow is Jeff's off day so we are going to get back on Wednesday. Once we get the ceiling finished you will have to bring your wife and show her the finished product. I also would love to have you guys over for a movie!

Auburn,

Love your build, subbed. I am planning to build a home and move to the south Atlanta area this summer. I had planned on building a home theater but I'm pretty sure I'll be able to hear yours from my back deck. That equipment rack is just incredible, very nicely done.

Thanks Mike! I appreciate that. There is no way I could have done it without this forum. This place is incredible and full of awesome builds and ideas.

We got a good bit of stuff done today. We ran all of the wires for the surrounds, subwoofers, and electrical for the outlets in the columns. We also stuffed to soffit with insulation. Here are some progress pictures.

Installed projector outlet and HDMI.connection pass through
Added conduit connection through ceiling for behind screen wall and for front of riser. Attic space is wide open.

You forgot to mention how much fun you had building the soffit!

Today was Jeff well deserved off day. I managed to work in the theater a little this afternoon. I got the can lights all wired and conquered my fear of working on electrical. I also caulked the perimeter of the under side of the soffit and started spraying the can light trim.

I went to Lowes late this afternoon to get some MDF cut for the beams for the coffered ceiling. I had the poor guy cut 24 panels. You should have seen the pile of MDF dust afterwards! It saved us a whole lot of time by not having to rip those heavy sheets here. THANK YOU Stephen at Lowes!

I am going to have to get them custom made. Jeff has a guy (can you believe that) that he orders them from. There are 2 supplies in the front and 2 returns in the rear. All 4 are going to be 26" x 4".
