Thanks!

The subs are awesome, and I've been bummed the last few months since I can't turn them on!

The room will be finished for the GTG with the exception of the wood ceilings and acoustic treatments. I'll use the GTG as an opportunity the find all the rattles and fix them before the ceilings go in.

If I can ask, please get some good photos of how you finish boxing the vents - that will be critical for me.

Thanks.

Lucky for me my dad was in the heating/cooling trade for years, so he'll be doing that! I'll take some pictures of what he makes for those.

Final inspection was early this morning and went fine. I've cleaned out the room and will be painting tonight. Tomorrow I'll build the riser and some stands for the Yorks.

Mine are the Yorkville U215, but there will be some JTR 215RT there as well for the meet.

What else do you need to do in order to get the room ready for the GTG?

I've been working on it every night for almost two months...

Not sure about treatments yet. Once I can measure my gear in the room tomorrow I can start planning it.

I just finished the riser tonight, but the base board trim still needs to go up before carpet tomorrow!

That will be tongue and groove pine so that space is accessible.

You can see on the outside wall behind the soffit there is a 2x4 that's mounted horizontally. The drywall goes right up to it. The bottom of that 2x4 is the same distance to the ceiling as the bottom of the soffit to the ceiling.

I'll attach tongue and groove pine at the bottom of that 2x4 and it will span across to the bottom of the soffit.

Riser depth is 6' 4"

I installed the base board trim last night, and carpet is being installed right now!

Ha, nope! I did get one Othorn in there to run some sweeps, but that's it.

First things first, I removed that dang hallway at the bottom of the stairs.

On a side note, that huge maple tree in my front yard is finally gone.
