I'm in a battle with my wife now. She doesn't want a whole room "wasted" by using it just for a theater so I have to compromise. She wants a listening room/library at the very least so I was thinking of making the screen wall bookshelves with my equipment in the middle so when screen is up everything is there for a listening room/library but when it's time to watch a movie the screen comes down over most of it. Assuming I don't have any issues with remotes what are the downfalls of this approach?

one is loading a bluray for the second feature, the tray coming out just as your screen is going up and the dreaded RIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIP. Just plan the depth accordingly.

What about in regards to sound and light? Reflection issues for either? I'm hoping that a dark room and a big screen will hide the books while a movie is playing.

I was thinking something like this, taken from JustMike's build.
