It's all good. Ltd02 had a great point about the rotary sub; it's really not cost effective compared to a traditional bass solution. You can buy a lot of bass for 25 thousand dollars. No need to reinvent the wheel your theater is still going to be absolutely amazing.

No problemo! you're in PA, right? I head up the east coast a couple of times a year to see family back home in NY. I'll definitely let you know the next time I' m passing by PA.

LOL...man, August....we will see. The room will definitely be drywalled by the end of this month, but will it be completed six weeks afterward? If I learn what I need to learn from Big so I can carry on work daily in his absence, then yes. If not, then we're probably looking at September.

You got it! i'll make sure I share the best things to do out here. Between National Harbour, Old Town Alexandria, Downtown DC's Hisorical sites & Smithsonian attractions, and the King's Dominion Theme Park just 75 miles away, it will literally be an actual vacation that just happens to surround a get-together. I love living in this area. My wife loves it even more (she's the extrovert).

@Gorilla83 Cool--I've been up to that general region a couple times to visit the theaters of @DMark1 and @craig john--the former of which inspired me to get Legacy Focus SE speakers, the latter of which was my inspiration to get Platinums.

@MIkeDuke I'm going to have to plan to spend a day in PA becasue I definitely want to check your room out too. PA and VA seem to be the Home Theater Co-Capitals of the nation.

Yea, we seem to be clustered here . On a windy day, you can smell the brain power as far south as North Carolina . Just let me know a few days ahead of time and we can work something out.

Cowboys defense looks weak, Redskins are a mess too. Giants don't look all that impressive either. Eagles might have a good shot this year since the division is weak.

Since 2001
NFC East championships

Eagles 7
Giants 3
Cowboys 2
Redskins 1

That is more than twice the other teams have won combined. Unfortunately, the Giants have won two Super bowls in that era. Damn Patriots!

I will get angry and fight if you mention that. Literally. I am serious. It boils my blood. That is why I always enjoy watching the Gmen lose. Last year was fun. As fun as it is to watch my team win I get equal satisfaction out of watching either Denver, Pittsburgh, or Giants lose. Jets are close but sexy Rexy is so entertaining I kind of like them sometimes, as long as they are not winning.

Bleed Green? I do believe this, as my Giants did complain about some green smears on their dinner napkins after eating their roasted Eagle.

No progress this weekend. The in-law is visiting this week, so time is scarce. But once I relocate the sump pump six feet to the left, framing will commence shortly thereafter.

There's a catch....the plumber offered a discount if I move the sump pump and do the new bathroom on the same day. More $, but I promised the wife i'd replace the bathroom I tore down, so...I need to take advantage of that discount!

I noticed you made a couple YouTube videos about the Lumagen Mini 3D. Do you still plan on using it in your new build? How do you like it?

When it scales from 16:9 to 2.39, how does it look with fast moving sports like football? Is it noticeably stretchy or banded?

I'm trying to figure out projector placement right now and I'm considering the mini 3D so I don't have to get an anamorphic lens or be locked into a projector with lens memory...

I use the NLS feature on the lumagen radiance and it is fantastic! I watch everything in scope and it has little impact on the image. Only a little bit of the top and bottom are cut off. Nothing you would really notice watching tv or movies. Only time you can tell is when the Directv menu get pulled up and the time of day has the top part chopped a little. Worth every penny IMO.

The more obstacles pop up, the more I ask myself this same question. lol--well, I'll be getting an official "Layout" next week. That should solidify things quite a bit!

I love it! NLS for 16:9 -->2:35 content is like being left behind by the limo after prom, and whilst walking aimlessly, your prom date breaks a heel right in front of a hotel after the bus/train service stops running. Just kidding---but seriously though--it's an amazing feature that Lumagens have. Although--I'd suggest holding off until a 4k Lumagen is announced. Right now, Lumagens do 4k upscaling, but can't accept a 4k signal and pass it through to a 4k display. This CEDIA will change EVERYTHING!

I hear ya, Mike! But man--after I started venturing out into some threads other than the WYSC forum, I came across some threads where people openly criticize systems, which are subjective anyway. But when questions like "where's your thread" or "what do you use," came up, the response was so underwhelming, it was made plain that they weren't in a position to criticize. I was creating another meme this morning for facebook, and figured--why not create one for AVS too

I mean, who am I to criticize anybody. My HT has a 42in TV(Not even 50in ) and is in a small room with 2 chairs and is a 5.1 system. I would never say someone else's system is less then... Whatever. What's the point. It makes no sense to me to openly do anything like that. Maybe that's all they can do and the worked really hard to get that system. Why rain down on it. But people like to do that. That's been my observation.
