So I just purchased the Epson HC2030 projector and I'm loving it, first projector I've owned. I need some help connecting all my sources to it, I have a PS4, Xbox 360, and a directv genie box. The projector will sit about 12-15 feet away from the wall once I mount it. So far I've thought of 2 possibilities:
1) build a shelf that sits next to the ceiling mounted projector which holds all my sources. My concerns with this is that it would be a pain to reach up that high when wanting to switch out games etc.
2) run a 25 foot hdmi cord from the projector through the ceiling to the sources. My concerns with this are that I'm not sure how well a 25 foot hdmi cord would work. Also, I'm trying not to spend $300+ on a receiver so I'd be connecting to an hdmi switch that can be found on Amazon for ~$40. I have read some reviews that these do not work with directv and video game systems because of some sort of content block? Majority of reviews say the switch works just fine, so this is where the confusion comes in.
Idk which option is better! Thoughts, questions and concerns are much appreciated!!
