I would like to know this too. Using DVDFab I can reduce to 55 % so it can fit in a 25gb disc.

There must be something wrong with your BDMV folder, since this is what I get:

I think that's the problem. He doesn't have a Certificate folder in the same directory. It was never downloaded. That's why it's not prompting him. This is the reason why I said he can just create an empty folder. There is nothing special about it that creating it won't work.

Darn my Verizon mifi. It apparently blocks torrents. I'll have to get a friend to download this.

does anyone have problems playing this?

i rtied playing the disc image in my dune base 3D -> only got a black image. what is weird is that the dune player does not append a "3D" next to the details 1080p in the playlist of files as it usually does for other 3D discs. i am suspecting that my player is playing this as a 2D file as it cannot be identified as a 3D file. is there a flag i must set?

i tried playing just the m2ts file. no go too.

any advise will be appreciated.

thanks.

Yeah, same problem....

It's all there. Burned perfectly with Roxio Toast. Just in 2D not 3D.

Any solution?

By the way, it appeared as a single BDMV video on my Mac. Just dragged it into Roxio Toast and burned as a BD Movie.

Tell you what...

Perhaps someone can post a step-by-step tutorial on doing this.

I can do this on Windows via Parallels virtual machine so a Windows tutorial with the needed software and step-by-step instructions would be helpful.

Also...

This is only one file. There is some confusion about a certificate folder that needs clearing up as well. Not sure if that is an additional download or not.

Thanks again for putting this all together. It's just that some of us are not having much luck with it.

I do apologise about this but i guess we are like guinea pigs in a way as we have no idea what will and won't play a homebrewed 3d disc
i have personally tried it and got it playing in 3d on-
panasonic 110
panasonic 310
toshiba 3d player (can't recall model no. sorry)
total media theatre 6 (PC)
powerdvd 13 (PC)

am i to understand that the torrent is not including the "certificate" folder? if it is not there (probably because they are empty) you can create your own

step 1-
create a new folder named CERTIFICATE

step 2-
create another empty folder, name it BACKUP and place it inside the CERTIFICATE folder

step 3- it should now look like this
BDMV
CERTIFICATE

if you open certicate it should have just a backup folder which is also empty
BDMV
CERTIFICATE
----BACKUP

if you go into the STREAM folder situated inside BDMV there should be lots of .m2ts files numbered from 0000.m2ts to 0099.mts

some players will happily play without the certificate folder if you have problems and have a spare bd-rw (i have found this to be invaluable whilst testing and downloading other home made demos) try burning one with a certificate folder and one without just incase the other one works

I am giving up on this.

Don't want to keep wasting blank BD-R discs.

This time I actually opened the contents of the file, created a CERTIFICATE folder and placed the BACKUP in there.

Then burned all the files on the disc.

Did this on a Mac via Roxio Toast.

Same results. 2D picture. It's all there, just not in 3D.

Ok I finally got imgburn to work. I Uninstalled the app. Then reinstalled it. Once I did that I added the certificate folder inside the BDMV folder. Then started the imgburn and all went well and it created the BD. I downloaded the torrent if that makes a difference and burned it to a 25gb BD.

That's the whole point to a torrent.

There's absolutely no need to do this.
There's no issue related to PAL/NTSC here. My player is NTSC only (US) and it plays just fine
as is.

You can use ImgBurn to create an ISO also from the folders you download.
What's your media player? Can it hande 3D blu-ray ISO?

those peeps with 3D issues, i suspect that a flag was set wrongly - and certain players detect this as a 2D media file. I have tried playing the m2ts and ISO directly on my Dune player to no avail but works well on TMT software on my PC.

anyone care to comment?

I am going to give this one more shot using imgburn.

When I select a Folder, what exactly am I putting into Imgburn?

It won't let me select the BDMV folder itself.

It wants a particular file.

Thanks for the help.

You can drag and drop the BDMV folder to the window. I made and added a certificate folder and put it in the BDMV folder. Not sure if that made a difference but it worked for me. I made 2 coasters prior to it working on the third try.

Hi Bori!

Not allowing me to drag the folder into the window.

I am using Windows via Parallels on a Mac. However, that shouldn't make a difference.
