This was right after I finished the screen, wanted a quick glimpse at how it turned out. Looks great I think for all the light in the room

A few pictures of the room and painting progress

Here are a few shots of the painting progress. Should be done within a week depending on how much free time I end up having.

The room is 20' long, in the back where the seating is it's 13' wide and gets down to 10' where the screen is

sorry i should have clarified, its 20' long by 8' high. the room is wider in the back and gets more narrow by the screen wall. so 10' wide and gets widers in the back. A small theater for sure

Quick question

Hey guys, quick question. Whats the maximum amount of weight that you would feel comfortable putting on drywall using two toggle bolts? I just realized there isn't a stud around where my surrounds should go . I was considering using two toggle bolts for the mounts but i'm concerned about the weight damaging the wall.

The speakers are nht sb2's and they each weigh 13 pounds, plus the weight of the mount. this is the mount

Thanks!

After some research I think ill try these out and hope for the best. They claim weight 10x more than I need so I don't think it should be a problem

I am looking for someone to help with speaker placement and hope he can handle it.

I really dig your poster lightbox - nice poster too! I haven't seen that one yet. Still trying to decide on a couple more posters for my room. It's a tough choice to pick movies that are timeless and classic, but also cool-looking.

Check out my build thread:

Just an update. I had Chad out a few weeks ago. The difference he made could not be overstated. It was a HUGE difference and he was very knowledgeable and I would highly recommend him.
