It's so weird... your 3D demo disc with moving menus?... that I burned on the exact same media works just fine... And for this disc, I just tried it with all the moving menu files swapped for the static version of them and re-burned it... Still it refuses to even start the disc in any of my blu ray players... It's like the whole menu structure itself is unknown to my standalone Sony player and it can't start it, and it thinks it is just a collection of clips, which it can not just start to play? .... at least in my case with my Sony players of different generations...

Is there a .mkv file available of the demo disc? (Already converted to .mkv format?)

That would make it much easier - - at least for those who can play .mkv files.

I just ran MakeMKV on the iso and it would create 33 separate files. I don't think you'd consider that "much easier."
You can probably just remove the m2ts files from the stream folder and play them directly.

Agreed, MKV isn't the right way to go. Take the ISO and use software to mount it and use some sort of software to playback that mounted image (not sure what HTPC software does and does not, but I am sure that Google would be one's friend in finding out).

Thanks for posting this. Since I have several iMacs, and macbooks without disc burners, is it possible to drop this on a usb stick, plug it into the blu ray player and play this?

Like it was stated 2 posts above yours... you can probably just take the m2ts files from the Stream folder and put them on a stick and play them that way...

Yes, I agree! All the different formats, codecs, types of burning media... on top of all the different streaming options and what is required for each in order to play is very confusing! There seems to be no rock solid standards and each manufacturer is different in what it supports and what it doesn't..... can be very aggravating...

here's a link to a version with no menus best to press "download as zip" i'm not sure if this is better than a torrent but it's there for the taking if you want to try it https://mega.nz/#F!BQ5ETazQ!QyO0LcAQB8PXYJ1KgddLrw

Anyone know what software was used to author this menu system? I like the way it turned out!

ok - so I'm using the samsung uhd player, K8500. I was able to play the first file in the stream folder, but ran into codec issues on subsequent files (video but no audio). Do I need to try my Oppo blu ray player?

The clues are there for that one, now I can see why it's called "multiAVCHD - Star Wars -The Force Awakens " in the PS3 menu! (file BDMV\META\DL\bdmt_eng.xml)

Many thanks again for compiling this. I downloaded the replacement torrent ("Reelwood Demo Disc 2016 - NTSC") and have burned that as-is, without changing anything - it all seems to work fine on my UK PS3 "slim".

My only niggle, if you do decide to create any new discs in the future, is that it is quite slow to navigate between screens in the menu. This may be a PS3 fault, I don't know. Each time I press "right" on the menu to move to the next clip, it's a good 5-10 seconds before it's ready to accept either a "play" press or another "right"/"left". So although 49 separate previews looks lovely, it's a mission to get to "The Matrix Reloaded" if that's the only clip you want to view . (*) For ease of navigation I would have been happy with 49 static thumbnails all visible at the same time, which would let me cursor up/down/left/right around to select which one to view. But it's really minor, and I was delighted that I could press LEFT from the first clip to get back to the last clip. Wrapping menus is basic, simple and nice, and something more people should do (are you listening, Denon on-screen menu designer?!) and it's really annoying when it's not done!

I'm still seeding for a while longer.

(*) Edit to add: I've found the menu on the PS3 (Options - GoTo) which lets you enter a Title number directly, so that's a work-around sorted!

Thank you very much for the awesome demo disc @pjvader !

One question; do you have a text file listing all the clips (in order)?

I like to copy the m2ts files to my NAS and stream them through Kodi, and if I could rename them to what they actually contain, that would be great!

Thanks again!

I hinted at that in my post above - there is a list in that XML file (bdmt_eng.xml). But to save people time:

04 - Terminator Genisys Dolby Atmos®
05 - Unbroken Dolby Atmos®
06 - Mission Impossible -Rogue Nation Dolby Atmos®
07 - San Andreas Dolby Atmos®
08 - The Age Of Adaline Dolby Atmos®
09 - Mad Max Fury Road Dolby Atmos®
10 - Transformers Age Of Extinction Dolby Atmos®
11 - Hunger Games Mockingjay Pt.2 Dolby Atmos®
12 - Batman V Superman
13 - King Kong
14 - Kung Fu Panda
15 - Raiders Of The Lost Ark
16 - Getaway
17 - Max Payne

24 - 3 Days To Kill
25 - The Matrix Reloaded
26 - Star Wars - A New Hope
27 - Robocop
28 - Guardians Of The Galaxy
29 - Watchmen
30 - Indiana Jones And The Kingdom Of The Crystal Skull
31 - Gladiator
32 - Oblivion
33 - Star Wars The Force Awakens
34 - Rogue One
35 - THX WOW! 2016 Reelwood Remastered

39 - Sherlock Holmes
40 - dts:X Clemen Wirth`s Gravity
41 - Roy Orbison -Blue Bayou

HTH

It's a fantastic collection of clips. I've colour-coded the DTS:X ones in green and the Atmos ones in Blue as that was my own main interest and I found the thread via the DTS:X thread. In fact the DTS:X tracks are the first genuine DTS:X content that have been played through my amp!

Can someone help me here... I tried playing this on the PS3 first and the screen would go black and then go back to the menu.. I burned 4 different copies (PAL, NTSC, different burning software) trying different things.. I bought a Panasonic BD-903 Blu-ray player thinking it was the PS3, and when it starts to read the disc, nothing happens, it just hangs up forever (on all 4 discs).. I'm using Verbatim BD-R 6x 25GB discs.

What am I doing wrong?? I've tried Nero, and Imgburn... Am I missing a key setting?? Speed?? Discs not compatible?? Region??

The disc will at least let me play the .m2ts file on my PC, but I'm assuming I'm missing codecs as it is without audio.

HELP!!?!!

MultiAVHCD is what the disc was created with and it has some issues with PS3 and Panasonic BluRay players (you chose an unlucky path) -- you can google this and read up on it. It's all a bit confusing I admit.

Well go figure! Is there something else I can do with the files to make this work?

From superleo's thread, he offers this suggestion:
"Finally for BD9 compatibility, I found that the best way to accomplish this, if your player won’t play the BD9 directly as a BD disc, is to run the BDMV structure through MultiAVCHD using the reauthoring mode. Thus you would need MultiAVCHD:
http://multiavchd.deanbg.com/
with which I have no experience, so I can only wish you luck.

HELP!!?!!
I'm in the same boat. Won't play as a BR disc on my Dune.

Current setup: JVC RS55 - Marantz 7008 - Dune Solo 4K - Kodi/Chromebox - Cinema 10's LCR - Volt 10 Surrounds - Polk in wall rear & ceiling - eD A7-450

I'm using BD25.

And just to be clear, I am burning using ImgBurn.

I add BDMV and Certificate folders, MODE1/2048, UDF 2.50? Anything else?

BTW, what codecs do I need to play the audio on my PC?? I just get the video with no sound.
