Ok Guys heres some silly crap I whipped up for you.
Weve been filming the entire build in HD when we remember to do so, I have about 2 hours of tape but mainly pretty boring stuff. I put together several clips and they are major compressed into WMV files to keep the size down so when you click on the link it might take between 10-30 minutes to buffer the video, one is 35MB and the other is 80 some. Do Not attempt this with Dial-up, it will take a month.
Video #1 called Theater is just some stuff that I included that I have recieved alot of PMs on what / how/ or why and some things Ill point out are
1. notice the excursion of the drivers on the speakers, this is how such "small speakers" power a large room.
2. when I am throwing the lumber out of the roof notice the camera shake, it is 20' from the work area and those are only whimpy little 2 x 4 s hitting the ground and shaking the tripoded camera that much. When I tell people that the entire room flexes in a major way under the force of our IB subwoofers they respond with a kind of puzzled reaction. Bonus rooms are sort of weak in a structual way because they are usually smaller than the Garage below and are supported by several beams. In this case a 19' x 40' room sits on a 30' x 60' garage supported by three beams. I would not call this optimum theater room if you want to load it with weight including Sand filled stages and risers, seats and people.
3 the wife said if I included her in the video she gets to pick the music in the video as a way of deterring me from including her, well........since she does most of the work while I stand around and act like I am thinking, just mute the audio if needed.
The second video is just some screen shots and again remember this is about 10 GIG of video compressed and sized to smaller sizes ( 640 x 360 ) had I left it at 720 it was 200 mb and still compressed massively from HD stock footage so it looks a little fuzzy and the whites are extremelly white, if you think taking pictures of a theater are hard, try filming them. The camera had a slightly hard time focusing when zooming in and out but it will give you an Idea of what a 14' screen looks like.
Both videos should be rezized in media player , while you wait for buffering just resize the window about half and it will look better and not so pixelated.
