It's the Silver Ticket Woven Acoustic Material screen. Not overly expensive and turned out looking good.

I use a JVC DLA-RS420 projector.

I have an older version RS400, also considering Silver Ticket and other AT screen, how is the picture quality of the Silver Ticket AT screen pair with your RS420? you run in low lamp mode? due to the low gain of AT screen would the image too dim? would you mind sharing some screenshots?

The screen looks better than I imagined it would, especially for the price. I didn't know what to expect with an AT screen and didn't want to spend to much and end up not liking it. I'm pleased overall. You can see the weave from close up but I can't see it from where I sit (about 16' from the screen).

The picture is plenty bright on low.

It's hard to capture good pictures (and I'm no photographer) but I put a blu-ray in and snapped a few.

I am considering this screen and my first row will be ~11 feet from the screen, how noticeable is the weave from that distance?

@tyrael44

same question as DarkMATTer81, but with 6 feet viewing distance?

6 feet may be a little close. At 6 feet I could make out diagonal lines(the woven pattern is at an angle), but by 7.5-8 feet I could not see them anymore. 11 feet would be fine.

So depending on whether or not the slight lines would bother you could be ok. I was looking at the screen with no picture on it. With something on projecting it will probably be even less noticeable.

Not to hijack the thread but I have to ask, how close do you sit? My wife thinks our 116" is huge (first row at 10') but I could go 155" before hitting walls.

Besides preference, a lot goes into that answer. Here's a thread to continue the discussion or you can use the PM system

Chart Distance x Screen Size - Standards SMPTE and THX

Thanks

Looks like there is still room for a little bit more speaker back there...

Here is mine. 110", 1080p (want 4k eventually). Obviously it's not done yet, still gotta finish the top and add some more decor. Next project this weekend is putting in down-lighting on the screen with IR control to tie in with my anymote.

Basement screen wall. Already had the TV so left it in place. AT screen passes voices from the center channel very nicely. Simple but we are having a lot of fun with it. Can't wait for football season. Little bit of base trim work and couches left to tackle. But seriously, are we ever done messing with the room?
