Yeah, I agree. There's something seriously good about this little space. Looks comfy, complete and perfect for movies with a few friends.

The walls certainly look different with the lights on or off. They look tan coloured with light.

Well done !

Tom.

There's a proper time and place for spontaneity, dammit!

Looks great to me. A name? How about "Orange-You-Here-For Home Theater"?

Have you ever wished your front side speakers were 5 inches shorter or that you could mount your screen 5 inches higher?

I think small, cozy, well dressed spaces like this create a very special world for movie watching.

the walls are concrete the roof is the same color as the walls

-the effect is exactly what i was looking for with lights on 100% looks very bright the pictures looks orange its because of the camera filter , and with lights off you can see anything completly dark no bounce light at all.

- the screen its a MDF panel paint with Behr silverscreen paint, get the advice from the forums

by the way this is an apartment .

Your set up looks great. I want to turn my master bedroom into my home theater - it's about the same size as your theater room, maybe a little bigger. Anyhow, please excuse my ignorance as I'm new to the board, but what type of projector are you using?

Hi Reaven your room looks awesome. Very similar to mine actually. Did you add any extra ventilation for your projector?? I am building that part of my room right now.

And I think after looking at yours I may need to put some little soffet lights in..it looks awesome on yours.

am using 2 computer like fans 60mm fans, for my projector model 1 fan in the back for intake and one on the side for exhaust . i was going to built a thermostat sensor but drop the idea when found hard time looking for the components. my fans are running 24/7. almost a year in june without problems.

it runs so cool that when turn it off the internal fans keep running like few seconds only..

I used Sketchup for the first few, then Autocad for the rest. I do autocad as a profession so I am more comfortable with it.

For your opening in the soffet, did you just use drywall for the bottom or plywood??

Thanks

Great job on the room, I know pictures sometimes come out darker than seeing it in real life but It seems to have a great atmosphere. Two thumbs up.

just boxes i would think... if you build a riser for the couch, then your speakers are still the same level as they were before (relatively)

the problem i was thinking is that the floor already have a rug if i build a simple wood box i dont think it will sit flat on the floor dont know if you know what i mean , i have to in someway make the box to have some weight beside the speaker because if not the speaker will fall from the box.

i hate sand its a mess so fill the box with sand is not an option.
so......?

Screw the box to the wall. shouldn't take many to keep it rigid enough to keep it from falling.
