Does anyone have nice looking home theater symbols in .dwg format?

I'm looking specifically for home theater recliners. Plan and side elevation views.

I've searched the net and come up with nothin'

Thanks.

I posted .dwg's of berklines a while back. I'm sure they're in the archive now. Try searching the archive.

The thread was in the archive

However, I see that the link I posted in the archived message does not work. I will post a new link here:

Sometimes I use the CAD Block Exchange Network. It's free and it's not warez. Since this is my first post I can't include the link so you'll need to google it.

Well if something is in the archives you need to enter the archive, then search.

The search works fine; you have to read the advanced search instructions to make your search AND/OR etc.

Thanks for your efforts Mr. Tim!

I had entered the archive and searched. Maybe I didn't follow some of the detailed rules.

However, the link you just posted is not going anywhere for me.

I'm not a computer wiz, but not illiterate either. This is embarrassing.

I just tried them both, they both work (they being the link to the old thread and the link to the dwg file).

Well, I've troubled you guys enough, but the link to the drawing is still not working for me. I've tried it through IE and Firefox. This is the error I'm getting "The requested URL /AVSforum/berkline_seats.dwg was not found on this server."

The link to the previous thread does work for me.

Thanks for your efforts here Tim, but I don't want to put you through anymore trouble.

The new link, in post #4 does work.

If you click on it as normal (ie left-click) you will receive the error "no such" whatever, because apache doesn't parse .dwg files.

However, if you right-click and select "Save As" per post #11, you can download the file.

Here's a seldom-used feature of google...

If you want to use google to search for results from just one website (such as avsforum.com), precede your google search with "site:avsforum.com"

So if you google "site:avsforum.com .dwg seats" you'll get to the threads previously mentioned...

That is what I tried to do. When trying to save the link target, you get the error "Inernet Explorer cannot download berkline_seats.dwg from plattco.net. Internet Explorer was not able to open this Internet site. The requested site is either unavailable or cannot be found. Please try again later."

Mr. Tim- what browser are you using? I just looked at the .jpg's that you posted and the options are similar to, but not exactly what I have when right-clicking on an item. Here are the options that I have.

That's a problem with internet exploder.

I use firefox, it works. I thought you were all nuts, until i blew the dust off of IE and I get the same error.

You could research the ms knowledge base for an answer or just use a different browser.

I tried Firefox, and did get the link to work. I got to the thread, and was able to download the dwg file. So, it was, an IE issue. However, it came up as "file not valid" when trying to open in ACAD. I'm in 2006, so maybe can't open r12? and it seems the dxf file is no longer there.

I'm sure they can build the chairs quicker than I can get to these files Thanks for continuing to try.

This is my last ditch effort.

Berkline Seats dxf and dwg zip file

The file contains the dxf and the dwg.

The previous dwg file was corrupt, I downloaded it and tried to open it... got the same error.

Tim

EDIT: I downloaded the file, unzipped and loaded them in AutoCAD 2005. THey are confirmed to work. I also tried IE and if you left-click on the link it will prompt to save or open. IE also successfully downloads the files.

If you're looking for something more traditional, in the CAD Block Exchange Network under furniture on page 13 there's one titled "wicked theatre chair". Haven't used it yet but the thumbnail looks good.

...or even more traditional is the "butaca" on page 19.

I hate to resurrect such an old thread, but the links in this one have since expired and I was wondering if anyone has any links to some good theater seat autocad files.

Thanks.
