That location might be tough with the screen there. I mean, you could get a retractable screen, but that doesn't seem like a good answer! eek.gif

I already bought the Screen Innovations Pure White Zero Edge, should be here in a couple weeks and ship out sometime this week!

One person suggested I put 3 speakers at the same height (above the screen) angled downward, I might need to try that. Budget is $1000 for 3 speakers, not sure what to look at other than Energy Take series which is much cheaper.

I'm working in the backyard lately, work in progress:

Current Projects:
IN PROGRESS (80%) - Building 3D Theater room.
IN PROGRESS (30%) - Building Lounge/Hallway Area.
IN PROGRESS (15%) - Building Home LAN (4 PCs).
ON HOLD - Building Home Gym.
ON HOLD - Building Simulation Room (Eyefinity).
ON HOLD - Building Theater room (Sim2 HT380, 2.35 14ft wide).

I did host an AVS get together like 5 years ago?! I think I had like 20 people come, that was fun. Maybe I'll do one again?

The LAN Room is on hold right now, we had 5" of rain come in an hour a few days ago and I had a small basement leak. It's making me think twice about what to do about this area - it could become a little dangerous to have a lot of PC equipment running down there against the perimeter of the basement?

My Screen Innovations Pure White Zero edge screen arrived.

I agree that rain was a killer. I had a small leak in my basement when I first got my home as well. Ryan had a older gentleman that came out which is highly respectable. He Repaired the leak and said he would guarantee it for 10-15 years I think I have his number if you want it.

Hung the pure white zero edge yesterday.

Happy with it's performance in a room where no ambient light hits it directly.

Your picture appear broken, the forum upgrade (downgrade actually) has changed the process for posting a pic. First load it as an attachment. then open that link and copy the URL from the pic and place after the URL link to embed it at full size into the thread.

Thanks, the funny part is I did exactly that, but also deleted the thumbnail afterwards because I thought it wasn't necessary, lol.

Why do I feel like I'm posting in AVS Forum from the year 2000? lol.

This is my gaming room for the most part, I'll try and get everything hooked up tonight. I seem to just keep creating projector rooms and not focusing on the main theater room, lol.

It did take about 30 minutes to ensure the projector was plumb, the border of the zero edges are so small that it takes some calibration to get your projector fully square with the screen.

Current Projects:
IN PROGRESS (80%) - Building 3D Theater room.
IN PROGRESS (30%) - Building Lounge/Hallway Area.
IN PROGRESS (15%) - Building Home LAN (4 PCs).
ON HOLD - Building Home Gym.

Hi!

It is a projection screen made by Screen Innovations. It is similar to the Black Diamond Zero Edge, but it's called the Pure White Zero Edge. The material is "8K capable" and a very smooth screen, meant for ambient light controlled environments.

This room has taken much longer than I hoped to put together, I switched where the projector was installed once already, and I'm happy with the video quality so far. I will clean the room up, install the components tonight and take another picture.

This environment is not meant for this screen, people would assume to use the Black Diamond material, but I am happy. No sunlight hits the screen directly.

It has been hung from the ceiling using aircraft grade cables. The border is extremely thin ("Zero Edge"), so the calibration of the projector took some time, but I got it! Finally.

It is 110" 16x9, IIRC.

Thanks,
ELmO
