@BIGmouthinDC , thanks for sharing those pictures.

I have a situation where I need my riser to be in the middle of the room similar to the second picture you posted here.
1) Is the bar table connected to the riser?
2) could you share some pictures of the framing of that bar table and riser combination during construction?
3) in that scenario, since I'm not in a position to run electricity into bar table and riser from the floor, is it a good idea to build two columns, one of each end of the table to bring electric wire from the ceiling to have outlets at the bar table and the riser?

some pictures mid construction, I did attach the bar framing to the riser framing. You can see I changed my mind on how deep the riser needed to be.
I wish I had dug out my concrete for an electrical run, I did a extension cord with a cordmate on top of the carpet on the far side that you never see. I was young and foolish. Columns would work.
