You could see if any forum members would be willing to program a Gefen for you for free if you sent it to them.

I have both the Mits and a Samsung P450 plasma, as well as the EDID device, so I could try with and without spoofing the Mits EDID. I'm in Northern VA/Wash. DC area if anyone is local. I will probably eventually order the Mits adapter (not the full kit w/ glasses as I have Nvidia's already)- I just have not been pressed to do it yet as there isn't much content outside of the PC games I already use on the Mits in 3D.

Isn't the Samsung P450 Plasma 720P, or only accepts a 3D signal at some proprietary resolution? If so the Mits converter won't work with that set regardless of EDID, it only outputs 1080P/60 for 3D.

Enjoying BF4 on the PS4, bugs and all.

I've just recently heard about the Mitsubishi adapter and this new standardized 3d in general as a possibility on my Samsung DLP (HL61A750). If I'm understanding this thread correctly, these are the facts as it pertains to my Samsung TV:

* Recent Samsung 3d DLPs won't natively work with the DirecTV 3d output format and other newer devices that use this format

* Mitsubishi makes an adapter but is locking out Samsung displays even though their TV technology is likely about the same inside (3D DLP from Texas Instruments) because they just feel like it or the adapter is subsidized or something

* The link above is that adapter + another adapter inline to HDMI to spoof a Mitsubishi EDID

* The Geffen HDMI Detective may be able to work inline to fix this issue but no one has this + the 3DC-1000 to test it

So is it the Geffen HDMI Detective that's included with the Tru3d 'kit' or are we unsure of this? Specs on both say 5v DC power supply. I'm trying to determine if that kit costs a lot more than buying things separately and somehow getting the Mitsu EDID on the Geffen box manually.

The tru3D kit has their own HDMI EDID unit it does not include the Gefen detective unit see:

I've read that whole page a few times and I'm not seeing them say any specifics about the EDID tool that's included other than it's pre-programmed with a Mitusbishi EDID but can be reprogrammed.
