My only concern with the Sony is the viewing angle. I seen a few reviews and that was brought up. I'm not sure if they meant viewing angle on 3D only or 2d and 3d. I'm selling my 71" DLP today and was considering the 55HX929 or the TP-C55VT30. I know it's a significant drop in size, but I can't afford the 65" Sony.

Since my room is very bright in day because of the sliding glass door and bay window from kitchen, I'm leaning towards the Sony.

Hi. You could try the 'Official Sony HX929 Owner's thread (46HX929, 55HX929, 65HX929)'. There is a lot more activities there. Some are happy with the viewing angle, others are not. I have only viewed the Sony Hx929 in stores and think it's viewing angle is very good on 2D. Don't care about 3D so I have not checked it out.

I saw these in the Sony store side by side next to the edge lit LEDs. The edge lit are a lot cheaper and to tell you the truth, it just looks slightly brighter. The pic quality on the edge lit are exactly the same. So not sure they are worth the extra $.
