I turn on the Sensio 3D option, and using the 3D glasses that came with the TV...well, they don't work. None of the "manual" 3D options work with the provided glasses. When 3D source is detected(PS3 games), everything works fine. Am I doing something wrong?

p.s. Sorry for such a noob question. Please, be gentle.

Are you using a Sensio encoded DVD?

I take it this doesn't work for live cable TV? I thought this was mentioned at CES?

Unfortunately, this tv does not do 2d to 3d conversion!

from what i gather, the sensio 3d option is only for their proprietary format, which is kinda like l/r checkerboard squished to side-by-side. the other options, (side by side and top and bottom), are used when you need to manually set the tv to convert that 3d format to the interlaced 3d that the tv uses. for example, when you play a 3d trailer that is in side-by-side format, you set the tv for sbs and it will be displayed in 3d.
if you can get a broadcast in sbs or tb, then you can set the tv to watch it in 3d.

The Senso 3D format provides better resolution/picture quality than other formats such as side-by-side or over/under (since these other formats essentially halve the resolution to split the screen). The Sensio 3D format uses a proprietary algorithm which results in virtually lossless compression when compared to the original source.

But in order to use it you need to be viewing a source that was encoded in Sensio 3D. Currently there are a number of dvd titles in Sensio format, and the Vizio 3DTVs should have an internet app that allows you to access 3D VOD content in Sensio format. As well there are a number of 3D games from Ubisoft (if you have XBox or PS3) that can output the Sensio format. Hopefully more content becomes available in Sensio format as more TV manufacturers begin to incorporate Sensio 3D into their TVs.

The Vizio TV should be able to autodetect the 3D source and setup the TV automatically.
