Yes applies to the clipons as well.

Well, hopefully they have it sorted out by the time their IPS monitors come out. Not looking all that hopeful, though.. I watched a YT video from CES, and they had the guy wearing the glasses upside down because of the mixed-up polarization.

Welcome to Rivendell, Mister Anderson.

I Just bought the D2342P-PN yesterday and found the problem like what he has mention above when HDMI cable is plugin (pc to monitor.)
1) it does not cover the full screen (shorter on the horizontal screen)
2) When playing movie on side by side format it show the problem as above mention.I have turn on the 3D option and select side by side and try all option in the 3d option all couldn`t work.
Also try the software tridef also could n`t work. try the L R or RL option also cannot work.

On DVI
using the tridef on dvi connection it work fine on 3D n 2D. I would say not bad at all.

Could anyone advice me on the problem above with HDMI cable. Thanks you.

Hello all,

I have LG D2542P that are very similar with D2342P.

And probably some of you can explain this situation....lets see:

-I have 4 3D Modes on screen options:
1- INTERLACED
2- SBS
3- T & B
4- 3D OFF

Even if I set 3D OFF, my screen still working like INTERLACED MODE, and I think that, its supose to working like any 2D monitor, dont????

Follow this test:

.using your own your Desktop
.Set on screen options 3D OFF
.Put your 3D glasses
- It will be very hard to read the smalest words!!!! DONT?

Now,
.Put glasses out, and you will read all whithout problems

Then,

.Set 3D MODE INTERLACED on your screen options
You will continue reading all very clear (nothing seems to change)

.Put glasses again
.and (same as 3D OFF) very hard to read.....

This is whats appens with me....and your expiriences?

Can I concluse that my monitor is allways INTERLACED ON? Even if I set 3D OFF?

Another test is by YOUTUBE,

Select one video and set on youtube to interlaced, the try to see whith your glasses in 3D OFF and INTERLACED MODE, I cant see any difference between them!!

Thank you a lot.

Hello Everybody

I am planning to purchase LG D2342P 3d monitor mainly for watching 3d BlueRay movies.
Now, what's bothering me is that I have heard that passive monitor offers great depth but lacks theater like pop-out effects and also passive is inferior to active displays in terms of pop-out effects. Actually I prefer pop-out effects over depth. So, it would be a great help to me if anyone can confirm this..

With Regards
Bruce

Also, do you think i play play game in 3d with a HD 6570 2gb graphics card?

3ft to 4ft from screen should be fine, and use the supplied TriDef software.

Hey guys!

I would like to ask a quick question about this monitor. I bought it recently and I too have found that there appears to be a ghosting in 3D mode (though HDMI/DVI), so I'm assuming there's something wrong with the glasses?

They do say 3D LED Monitor on the side of the arm, but could they still be wrong?

I phoned LG and they said "You can't use a 2.0m HDMI cable, it needs to be 1.5m for it to work best". I know that's BS, but I don't have a 1.5m cable to test. That said, it still does it with the provided DVI cable, so I'm pretty sure it's not the monitor.

I would get some Zalman glasses, do I need the SM-SG100G's? However I want LG to issue me some more (purely out of principle).

Any thoughts?

I just had a replacement received which is the same model but now label on the side of the glasses shows as 3D Monitor. It did solved the ghosting problem.
