But its time to join the modern world. The new 51" Samsung D6500 plasma is going to be delivered next Friday. I will miss that bulky bugger. Only football was in HD back then. things have changes.

My 65" Mits RP CRT is still going strong for my Son. One BIG (pun intended) advantage to it is NO ONE is gonna steal it! That sucker must weigh 500 lbs.!

Actually, about 300 pounds. I just got rid of mine at Christmas time and replaced it with a Panasonic TC-P65GT30.

The old Diamond Series I had had a beautiful picture but I think the Panasonic is even better!

I know the feeling. My CRT was ISF calibrated and I thought it was performing very well even after all this years. The reality is that Plasma TV has come a long way and are far superior then what I have right now. good 540P/1080I and hello 1080P !! My living room will feel so much bigger now that the 325lbs gorilla will be gone.

Waiting for the LG 84" 4K as a possible replacement for my 73" Mits. My wife still loves this set also.
