Alright guys. I finally have it up. I took the vid a couple weeks ago but now finally found the time to post. I took the vid while I was in Seoul to visit LG and Samsung HQ and the OLED factories. I got a chance to meet some of the engineers and finally got a hook up to do a video of the LM9600. Hope you guys enjoy it.

Oh yeah. Since I spent a couple hours on this I would appreciate it if you left some comments.

Well, it sounds great. First, I was never a fan of passive 3d, so we will see on that front cause I hate scan lines! second darker black level than panasonic, that is a heck of a claim, but if true , amazing and way to go. I was looking to buy the Samsung 64e8000 plasma. Not a big fan of led, plasma is more for me. All this considered, if it is as great as you say, What is the price of the 84 inch version ?

god bless

The full array backlight is great. In your review I don't understand how the closeups can be so different. The displays are the same resolution. If the source material is the same resolution i.e. Bluray, then the pixels should be a similar size and spacing. It looks like the pictures were from different distances giving the impression of a much sharper picture on the 2012 display.

See:
Close up shot of the 2011 LG LW5600

Close up shot of the 2012 LG LM9600

You should maybe take a shot of as close as possible the same screen shot from as close to the same distance as you can.

Thanks for the comparison.

Hey. Thanks to all who enjoyed the review. It was my first one and I had no instruments nor the knowledge of hardcore videophiles. Please accept my noobness and respect my willness to provide information for the public. I do this as a hobby. no money

As for the picture of the pixel. The pic itself was shot with the galaxy s2 phone (standard settings). The picture i took was of the apps icon on the smart TV home screen. The 2012 one was of the mlb icon and the 2011 was of the internet apps icon about 2 inches from the screen. ( i know i shouldve taken it of the same app icon ).

I am going to do a review of the OLED TV next month. If any of you have suggestions on what type of instrument to use/ types of measurements/ how to do it, i am obliged. Please help me out. Thanks.

Thanks for the review gosu. Why haven't you posted this in the LCD forum? I'm sure it would get a lot of interest. Many people are anticipating this set.

The TV looked Great! The 3D was definitely nice. $2999 at my Local Best buy. I looked at the ES8000 and the LM9600. The Interface on the LM9600 with the motion remote was so nice. I picked it up rather quickly... I picked up my new Def Tech Speakers. We just moved in and the floors just got installed. I'm replacing my Def Tech Pro 1000 package with 8040BP's and 8020ST's

There were complaints of people claiming to see "motion blur " or "motion trails" when playing 24p content, such as blu ray discs. Does anyone know if the 24p issue was fixed? There were rumors of a possible firmware update to fix this, however, two updates were released recently (03.01.50 & 04.02.84). I'm curious to see if motion blur was eliminated. Can anyone comment on this?

I haven't experienced the motion trails. I think that got fixed with a firmware update. I've owned mine for about 3 weeks now.
