I purchased this with the thought that it might help me get into the service menu but I didn't really find much in it that helped. I thought I'd share with everyone here in case you can find some use for it. Here is the link:

Hung my 65LM6200 this weekend

I am pretty happy with the current picture but I know it can be better. Just haven't had the time to tinker more.

Has anyone come up with a good configuration for picture settings or some sort of starting point for the 65LM6200?

I've got Expert 1 set up as follows:
BAcklight: 70
Contrast: 63
Brightness: 58
vsharpness: 20
hsharpness: 20
color: 56
tint: r5
Expert Control:
Dynamic Contrast: Low
Super Resolution: On
Color Gamut: Standard
Gamma: 2.4
White Balance:
Color: Medium
Picture Option:
Noise Reduction: Medium
MPEG Noise Reduction: Medium
Black Level: Low
Real Cinema: On
TruMotion: sometimes Clear, sometimes low or off

I find this produces a fairly good picture. I do admit I don't know what some of the settings really are or do....open to new ideas..

Hibeta,

Do you actually own a 55LM6200? I ask because so far, no owners of a 55LM6200 model have been able to locate the TruMotion menu. I see in your post you list all 3 modes. Please confirm your model number for us. I'm guessing you actually own a 65" (65LM6200) model. If it's a 55LM6200, please go to help > software update and confirm your firmware version for us.

Thanks in advance!

I was responding to the immediate prior post which requested settings for the 65lm6200...which is what I have. Sorry for any confusion.

Cool, thanks for replying so fast. Sorry about that, I see you were going over the 65" settings. I've got 55" tunnel vision at the moment due to the TruMotion missing issue. I'm currently in a discussion with LG Canada and wanted to confirm as the conversation is getting some attention and someone from their management department is scheduled to call me about this issue. Just wanted to confirm my info is 100% for when we have our call. For all you 55LM6200 owners, I'll be posting the results as soon as the conversation concludes.

Cheers

Same here. Happens to me with YouTube also. Anyone else see this issue or have a fix? I setup my laptop next to the tv and no issues for the same video. I'm using the tv with a high speed wireless n network.

Hi all

Been reading/lurking this excellent forum in preparation for my 55LM6200, in the UK. It arrived yesterday and I can confirm that it does have Trumotion settings. What gives?

Hey There Folks,

I have great news! I spoke with a Technical Manager this afternoon about this frustrating issue about Trumotion not existing on the 55LM6200's... Apparently the 47" version has this issue as well. Only the 65" is exempt from this issue.

mosgeo2000: can you please post your firmware version for us? Go to help > system update. Your "Software Version" will be displayed there.

The good news is this:

1. If you buy a 47" or 55" with a May serial number the feature will exist. They come with a newer version of the firmware which includes the TruMotion settings.

2. If you have a TV, like me, older than late Apr/May (Mine has an early Apr serial number) a web released update will be released towards the end of May.

3. There is no need to worry about whether or not necessary hardware is missing for this feature to work. It is simply a software oversight.

This person spent a great deal of time discussing it with me, and after we agreed on the terminology and began speaking about the TruMotion feature, and not 120Hz, it was admitted that the software was released incomplete.

Apparently, just before I called him back, he had received a call from LG Korea who is now officially acknowledging this problem and has fixed it in all new TV's shipped in late Apr & early May.

Just before getting off the phone it was stated - The update could appear any day now, but the official estimated date is late May.

Well, that solves it. I spent a great deal of time reaching out to LG in whatever means I could. Email, facebook, twitter, 1800 etc. I also recommended they pass this "known issue" on to the 1800 customer support as it would make their lives a lot easier and they wouldn't have to make up ludicrous statements like: the feature has been renamed "eye care"... LOL.

Keep your eyes peeled!

Good luck. I use this setting for shows like American Idol or The Voice...works well for me for shows that have lots of color depth. I have set up Expert2 with a slightly brighter setting that seems to work well for other types of shows. Basically trial and error. If you come across any settings that you think further improve the picture please share.

I'm sure the folks in the LM6700 forum would be interested to here this news because they are also experiencing the same problem accessing the TruMotion feature.

I agree, and due to the amount of folks talking about this issue, I felt it was appropriate to create a new thread about it.

I dialed in my picture finally last night by using Vivid and changing to the following settings:

Backlight: 80
Contrast: 90
Brightness: 50
Sharpness: 30
Color: 70
Tint: 0
Color Temp: C50

Advanced Control:
Dynamic Contrast: Off
Dynamic Color: Off
Clear White: off
Preferred Color: ALL ZERO
Super Resolution: On
Gamma: Low

Picture Option:
Noise Reduction: Low
MPEG Noise Reduction: Low
Black Level: Low
Real Cinema: Off
TruMotion: User: Dejudder 5 Deblur 0

Anyone know if there is a way to copy settings to all ports and/or 3d picture settings like you can in picture wizard at the end?

Considering buying lg 47lm6200 from Paul's tv online. I live in texas so they would not collect sales tax. The price 999.99. A local store has the same price but I would have to pay 83 dollars in tax. Does anybody know a better price?

I will be putting this tv on a stand. Could someone please advise what the dimensions of the stand are? I believe the stand is 13" deep. What is the width?

I appreciate any help.

Best regards to all,

Steve

for owners of the set how many pairs of 3D glasses do you get?
is that pretty much standard no matter where u get it from?
mjpatel's Avatar mjpatel 08:56 AM 05-04-2012
The stand for the 65LM6200 is 14" deep.
mjpatel's Avatar mjpatel 08:58 AM 05-04-2012
I got 6 pairs when buying from Amazon.com. At one point you were getting 12 pairs 9various sizes) from Pauls TV but Amazon pricematched so I bought it from there because of the their return policy.

Okay something strange is going on....My 65M6200 reboot/restarts itself if I browse a specific website. First I thought may have accidently hit the power button accident when going to the website, but then I did it again and as soon as it hit the site, the TV shut down and restarted.

Can someone double check if their TV is doing the same?

The 65LM6200 (and I believe all in the LM6200 series) come with 6 pairs of the newer style 3d glasses. They are more like a light pair of sunglasses instead of the flat faced rigid thick frame movie theatre style. I got mine from HH Gregg.

mjpatel,
I'll try it later and let you know if it does the same for me. I'm not truly impressed with the browser, it seems slow and unstable sometimes. LG needs to resolve those issues on a future firmware update. I do enjoy using it for what it works on. Too bad they don't offer something other than IN-Accuweather for weather apps. The Weather Channel or Weather Underground would be much better IMHO. Otherwise I LOVE this TV!
mjpatel's Avatar mjpatel 10:42 AM 05-04-2012
jscott70 - I agree. Love the TV...some minor quirks or issues like this but I may end up connecting an spare PC with a wireless keyboard anyway.

That would be sweet. I may also do that. I've got a spare PC laying around that would work perfectly and an old wireless keyboard. Hmmm....weekend project perhaps? LOL

I emailed LG support about copying input settings to other inputs and asked if they'll be releasing any browser updates/fixes for slowness/stability issues with it. I'll post their reply here...

Thanks for that correction.

How wide is the tv stand (side to side)?

If I may also ask, if the tv is on a flat surface, what is the distance from the bottom of the tv's bezel to the surface the tv is sitting on?

Reason for my questions on this is that I will be using a sound bar at first and would like to know how high I will need to raise the tv and how big the riser/stand will need to be.

Thanks again.

Regards,

Steve

How is gaming on this set? Is input lag bad? I love playing MLB the Show and don't want to endure weird lag when batting.

Any ideas?
mosgeo2000's Avatar mosgeo2000 01:31 AM 05-06-2012
We've been playing Star Wars Kinect and have not experienced any significant lag at all -- the onscreen action takes place simultaneously. This was on the Game setting.

Hi everybody!

Got my 65LM6200 on Friday and didn't have time to play with it to much.

On normal settings had some lag but when I've switched into GAME mode lag was gone.

You'll have to switch off all picture procesing done by TV because that's what makes lag.

In my case I let do all the work to my PC and TV is only used as monitor.
