I emailed LG support about copying input settings to other inputs and asked if they'll be releasing any browser updates/fixes for slowness/stability issues with it. Here is their reply:
Dear Mr. Scott,
Thank you for contacting LG Electronics. I am delighted to hear from you as our valued customer and I will be glad to answer your concern.
Once the picture settings of the TV are change, the settings will remain regardless of the input you are using. Regarding to the slowness and stability issues, we are still working on it. Please bear with us as we do are best to improve the units and our service.
If you have other questions or concerns, please do not hesitate to contact us again either via email, or by calling our customer service division at 800-243-0000 at your convenience.
Thank you for choosing LG!
The part about them working on the slowness/stability issues with the browser is encouraging but the first part is incorrect. I've made changes to the HDMI1 input in 2d and the settings are different for that input in 3d and other inputs also have settings independent of HDMI1 for both 2d and 3d. I'll have to call BS on that one...NOW, that being said if you run thru the Picture Wizard II, which I don't find to be all that helpful, it gives you a choice at the end of what inputs to copy the settings to. That is nice and should be possible to do when you change settings on a particular input. Anyone taken the plunge and purchased the $45 service remote? I am curious as to whether or not it works.
Mjpatel, sorry I had a crazy weekend and didn't get a chance to do much with the TV. I'll try it this week and let you know what happens!
