OK, lets leave out passive displays, i am asking what is the best deal/price on a 24" AND a 27" monitor

the monitor has to have the following specs or better, preferably LED
1)1080p
2)120+hz
3)built-in speakers
4)2-3ms response
5)10m:1+ dynamic
6)300+ cd/m2 brightness
(7) HDMI)

in addition, nvidia 2/lightboost is also a plus

so what monitors out there do you know of have specs like this and what's the best value (price+quality) and whats the best monitor (quality only)?

from my checking around the best deal for 24" monitor is the Acer HS244HQ coming in at under $300

the best 24" monitor is possibly the BenQ XL2420T and XL2420TX because of the lightboost.

As for 27" monitors, I really couldn't determine the best one, although the second version of the Acer w/lightboost seems like the best deal.

Also, what is the biggest 3d led monitor available? Largest I found was 27"

Finally, are there any TVs around the $3-400 level with specs listed above?

Thanks for the help

Asus VG278H w/ lightboost

I have the Acer HN274H non lightboost, considering the Asus. I'm sure I'll see it at Pax East this weekend.

I wouldn't buy a 3d monitor without lightboost now though.

Ok so lightboost is critical. the benq is only 24" and expensive, the acer is hard to find and stores are unwilling to check part numbers for me online (too bad for them), so I guess ill go with the asus.

would you buy one for $500? or should i hold off and wait for the next few months to see if there are other 27" nvidia 2 lightboost monitors for less?

27" asus is $650 though, but there hasn't been any rumors that I know of, of other 27" 37 monitors that work with nvidia 3d. there are some passive 27" out there but that require you to use 720p frame packing which is not really want you want to do for 3d vision

theres a guy who wants to sell me his for $500, its new. although ive read of some issues with it, for $500 and the specs i think ill take a chance. plus hes giving me the newegg receipt from his purchase so ill have that + registration for warranty. i dont think i can get anything better right now, either monitor or HDTV, or anytime soon based on what you said for $500. would u bite?

another question for you three, if you dont mind....

what other glasses can i use with this monitor? does it have to be the nvidia vision 2 (version 2) or can i use any active shutter IR glasses?
