Got a week left in Japan and will be going back to Tokyo, what new technology or TV can I look at? Maybe Korea would be more relevant but I'm not there. Want to see LG's OLED with 3d on it more than anything, but is it available?

I've seen what I think was Toshiba 55 inch glasses free 3d (or maybe I was seeing things cause I didn't know one existed till I saw it). The sweet spot was hard to get, and personally I think the glasses model look better. Some of the 3d setups over here is much better. One setup had every LG TV on a wall next to each other all running 3d demos, along with a sample of a 3d movie camera showing me in 3d on one set. I wish we had it like this in the States.

Please buy a realistic looking water-gun that looks like an military rifle and barge into the corporate offices of the TV manufacturers and demand they put the new 300mhz HDMI chips in their TVs.

or don't... ill leave it up to you.. just putting it out there...

There seems to always be something new to discover just going from one electronics store to another in Akihabara - though I assume you already knew that. (I still remember seeing the first flat screen TV's there and a 14 inch model could be had for what a 65 inch costs today. Not too many years later I saw, for the first time, a TV show playing on a cell-phone. The device that I wish we had here though was a video recorder that could record and retain HD shows from a TV like we used to be able to do with the simplicity of the VHS recorders.)

The first time I saw the HMZ-T1 was in a yodobashi in Kyoto a few weeks ago while I was vacationing with my wife. They were out of stock but I could use the sampler. I went to Tokyo and searched yodobashi and sofmap and all of akihabara to no avail. They told me they were out of stock until August or something crazy like that. I was so sad cos I really wanted to buy it so I went back to the hotel and ordered it online from amazon and it got here a few days after I arrived home. I love Japan
