Ok, my old(4 years) LCD TV needs to be replaced. As I am a total newbie, I need some advice on what to buy.

- between 102 cm(40 inches) and 140 cm(55 inches). 110 cm(43 inches) seems perfect, but I'm flexible.
- the distance to the TV is about 3m(about 9 ft)
- 3D is a must, and 4 glasses at the same time should be supported
- no preference regarding, LCD, LED, Plasma, DLP. Plasma seems great tough.
- no preference regarding internet, apps, widgets and so on
- the TV will be used to watch mainly SD TV shows(little HD broadcasting) and about 2 times a week Full HD/Full HD 3D movies(downloaded from the internet, no BluRay)
- budget: <= 1.200$ and I live in Europe

I look forward to your responses and I thank you beforehand for your suggestions.

I don't know which models are available in Europe but I'd go with an LG or Vizio passive set, either 42" or preferably 47"...either should fulfill your requirements for number of viewers and your budget. I have both a 47" and 65" Vizio passive set and they look incredible.

I'd suggest the same, LG would be great for you as you can have many viewers with cheap glasses and amazing 3D.

3D items I own:

Sony 46" LX900 active 3D set

Sony HMZ-T3 (Cushion pads and light blocker mod)

LG LW6500 passive 3D set

PS3 & PS4

Sony BDP-S570 BD3D player

JVC-GS-TD1 (with Cyclopital base extender)

Fujifilm W3

Sony Alpha 55 (for 3D panoramic photos)

Quadcopter + Zenmuse and GoPro Hero 3 (Filming...
