I bought a new TV (46") a while back and now regret not waiting for a 3D TV. So now in a year or less I am going to buy a 55" 3D passive TV from LG unless there is some great new technology (other than gimmicky things like web apps which don't help me since I have a computer connected) I should wait for? Something that might hit the 55"/$1500 price range in a year or two?

Thanks!

I think the answer is jump on it..
what's coming is OLED 4k 3D displays and glasses-free 3D but do not think those are not going to compete in this price range for a while.
You will always get incremental better models the next year so procrastination has its merits.
I am starting to wonder if cheap refurb model makes sense to allow waiting for the eventual best choice.
