So I noticed the colors were massively different from when the movie was playing in 2D and when it was playing in 3D, and I dont just mean brightness. To test it I reduced the color to zero so everything was black and white then put on a 3D blu ray.
The colors were back.
It seems theres fixed 3D parameters that cant be changed. The picture is way too bright and I cant get rid of the edge enhancement.
Is this normal for passive sets or is this a major MAJOR flaw in the LG LM5800 passive set? or maybe theres a setting Im missing.

My 47LM6400 LG passive stores different settings for 3D vs 2D and autmatically switches between the two when it senses 3D vs 2D inputs. You can customize the 3D settings but only when the set is in 3D mode--i.e. while playing 3D content.

So guys, it turns out Im an idiot.

When going into 3D mode the picture setting just reverts back to the 'standard' option. You cant go into the menu to change it back to back to 'cinema' or whatever you want since menu options are locked out in 3D mode. But you can press the 'AV mode' button right on the remote to change to that setting.
