Hello, I just got this new tv on the way. I never had a 3d before. I am just wondering what my first steps should be when I get it. I am a rookie at this but not a tech handicap.Picture wise and settings?

Thank you please help!

Open your wallet and kiss all your money goodbye because unless you got a package deal your gona need a bunch more 3D stuff to go with that TV

Its when you find out your fairly new 7.1 suround reciever isn't 3D ready, you have to by 4 more pair of glasses for when quests are over, you have to update your BR collection to 3D. At least your lucky the PS3 is a fairly good 3D player (only it won't play TrueHD). Check out 3D_blurayrental.com great place to rent 3D BR as Netflix or Redbox won't.

Thats great cause I waited to buy my surround sound after the tv. I am not getting one till a wireless 5.1 is out (that you can afford). And I just moved to a new 'tstate where I don't know anyone. So two pairs is perfect. And I don't own 1 Blu ray. I rent them. My question was about settings and stuff like that. Calibration.

Why don't you start with a list of what you have (type of tv, type of glasses, receiver model, etc) so that everyone doesn't waste any more time suggesting things you don't need. Its impossible to suggest settings when no one knows what kind of equipment you have.
edit I see you have a VT. Have you tried posting in a Panasonic thread?

No, Mr. Bond. I expect you to die!
