The time has finally come for me to invest in a full HD 3D projector.
I have shortlisted the Optoma HD131XE, the Acer H6510BD and the Epson EH TW5200. I was almost about to buy the Epson PJ since it was on sale and included one pair of 3D glasses when I came across the Acer and its feature of "instant 2D-to-3D conersion". All along I had assumed that all these 3D projectors could upscale 2D content to 3D but I seem to be wrong? I would like to play games on the ps3/ps4 in 3D and watch movies through my laptop which is then projected in 3D. Would I be better off with the Acer then with its instant conversion? Is the conversion good?
Or would I be better off buying the Epson or Optoma and then use some conversion software and watch movies like that?
Your kind comments will be most appreciated.
If you have to have it, I would suggest going the software route - this gives you the option of upgrades of constantly improving software, and not compromising with the projector quality (I just read the comparison reviews for the Optoma, the Acer and the BenQ - the 2D-3D capability was the main, if not the only, plus for the Acer).
