Question "current mode 1920x1080@60 is not hdmi 3d compatible", Help ?

Hello Guys,
I have been trying to play Stereoscopic games from my gaming laptop through the Benq 1080ST 3D projector. I can play movies in 3D but when I try to play 3D games I get this red texted error message on my 3D projector screen.

"Current mode 1920x1080@60 is not hdmi 3d compatible, please try 1280x720@60hz or 1920x1080@24hz"

In my Nvidia settings I do have them swtiched to either 1280x720@60hz or 1920x1080@24hz before starting the game but still I get this error. I have been trying to play Tomb Raider(2013), Crysis 3, etc games in 3D but in vain.

My Laptop specs:
Intel Core i7 Processor 2GHz
12GB SO-DIMM RAM
1.5TB 7200RPM Hard Drive
Nvidia GTX 560M
Windows 7 Home Premium

Any help would be highly appreciated, thanks.

For any resolutions above 1280x720@120hz you have to install 3DTV, via Nvidia support. I ran into the same issue and discovered that Nvidia 3D vision does not support 1080P 3D playback, but there 3DTV software does, go figure. I was also sending a 1080P signal to a 720P projector because i didn't read the directions. Yes it worked, but why make the projector scale it back to 720P when the projector resources could be used for better things.

3D vision supports 1080p 3D, however only as frame sequential 3D (120 Hz) over dual link DVI.

For 1080p 3D over HDMI, it can only be frame-packed at 24 Hz max. 3DTV Play provides frame-packed 3D support for games.

The game you're trying to play probably overrides the windows resolution and refresh rate.
Try to look throughout the game's graphics options if you can manually set it the way you want.

Passive 3D, forever !
My Full-HD dual-projector passive polarised 3D setup. (really out of date ! I need to update it some day...)
