I know that the glasses are exclusive to TVs depending on technology. What about the players with the TVs. What if you buy a Samsung TV and a Panasonic or Sony 3D BD player?

No issue with mixing 3D BD players and 3DTV's - as tested by Consumer Reports.

And in a few months, XpanD will release their Univeral IR X103 series of active shutter glasses that will work with all the CEM's 3DTVs that are using IR for a com between the 3DTV and the glasses.
