noob here, trying to wrap my head around 3D technology
I have a Mitsu 3D ready 65835 TV and am interested in future 3D.
I know I need the Mitsu 3D upgrade kit(or adapter+ other compatible glasses) but am confused re which 3D BD players will work with this TV once I install the parts of the upgrade.
I did read something about "checkered outputs" and got the vague notion that maybe only the Pannys would work for 3D BD with my TV.
Are there other options?
thanks for any help y'all can give a befuddled elder

If you get a Panny 3D BDP you can bypass the adapter and connect directly to TV. The Pannys can be configured to output Checkerboard 3D format which the Mitsu can display without using the adapter. You then have the adapter available to use with a 3D capable cable/satellite set-top box or other future 3D source component.

thanks for clarification!
I have ordered a Panasonic DMP-BDT100 since the 300/350 models are now d/c'd and hard to find/expensive.
