I have an ole surround sound system from Walmart. My room isn't huge, so its all I need. I just purchased a 3dt, but I can't connect it to my reciever. I need a digital input on it. 3dtv doesn't have coaxial. Is there a way to play it on my old system or do I need to get a new reciever. If so, does it have to be a 3d reciever to play the sounds? Is it possible to connect all my hd devices (360, 3d blu ray player) to my 3dtv and then the tv's digital audio to the reciever? What do I need?

I'm not sure I completely understand your issue. Can't you run standard RCA audio jacks (red / black) from each component to your old receiver? Or does the receiver not have enough inputs? If that is the case, yes, you can run all components to TV, and then TV out (RCAs) to the receiver, but this is not the optimum way to do it. You should have sound, however.

Seeing how this post is old, I hope you already found your answer...
