I currently use my PS3 for 3D BD playback, it's pretty good at the play back no real complaints at this point. Except I want to integrate this into my HA setup and bluetooth isn't an option for controlling the PS3 for me.

So with that in mind I am trying to find a good replacement for the PS3, I am looking at the Dune player, but I am not sure I would use all of the features except BD playback. I use SageTv and WMC so I am not sure the nework play back would get used.

So, I am also considering an even leser player like the samsung E6500 or the like.
Do I need a dune quality player to rival the PS3?

EDIT: Sorry if this is in the wrong thread, I didn't think it PS3 Only appropriate.

Ok, So I picked up the E6500. It seems to be worth the $165 I paid for it, so now I can use IR in my HT agian.

I would still like to hear what everyone (anyone) thinks about the PS3 vs. Dune palyer's. I have not seen any screen shots of what the Dune can do. If the Echo does not panout as expected I will be needing another route for Ripped content which may be the Dune?
