I want to see the Avatar movie in 3D. However, my wife has only 1 working eye and so she won't get the benefit, and the glasses won't be of any use. Can she view the movie without the glasses and see it, or is it 'distorted' because of the 3d?

I believe if she views the movie with the glasses it will filter out the other image and her good eye will only see a single image. Without the glasses she would see a double image. My father had also lost an eye and was unable to see the 3d effect so I can sympathize with you.

Waltm is correct, as long as she wears the glasses she will see a proper 2D image. It will be slightly dimmer than a true 2D theater but should look fine. Without the glasses she would see a ghosted image.

Thanks for the info. We have seen Avatar in regular 2D and I (especially) want to see it in Real 3D, or IMAX.
