Just ordered the 3D Starter kit from HSN of all places. A member on another thread mentioned it. If you order it, don't forget the 15% coupon like I did Luckily when I called back, they let me cancel the first order, and reorder it.

So am I good to go now? I've certainly spent enough money in the last week

The Mits 65737 from Paul's TV.....................$1049
The Panny BDT-350 from Electronic Express....$399
The Pioneer VSX-1020 from Amazon..............$512
and the Mits 3D Starter kit from HSN.............$340
The IMAX 3D Grand Canyon Adventure............20 Euros

Pretty good deals on most of these things, although it doesn't include shipping. No tax though except for the biggest item; the Mits TV, because Paul's TV is here in California.

I'm open to suggestions if you want to help me spend more money.

One more piece of the 3D puzzle solved.

Had exceptional experience with directv this afternoon.

1 1/2 call resolution. Got Net credit of $125 credit for HR24 purchased at 179 from Overstock - 30% cash back.

Got 2nd Mystery 3DHD HDDRV Swap for upstairs

Got 2 AM20 OTA tuners ( Upgraded from HR20s)

No Contract / No Shipping / No Charge / No Fight / No 3D-Problems.

Kudos to Directv ...Things might be turning a corner for customer service there these days.

DMA ILM

Now only is sony would add checkerboard output to the 3DBluRay Firmware....We could all be happy.

Hey everyone, I have a BNIB 3DA-1 (adapter only) and the Mits IR-Emitter separately that I don't need. PM me offers if anyone here wants them, otherwise they're going on eBay and/or getting returned Monday.

Wstaffor,

Take that to the F/s Forums. It will get deleted if moderators see it.

You have to pay to pedal your used / overstock / excess toys here on avsforum.

, Or sell it before it gets removed. Be quick grasshopper! Quick

My bad, I had just seen a bunch of others doing the same thing. Thought I'd try to help out forum peeps that haven't been able to snag one yet.

NSX1992, I heard that the IO Display (emitter) doesn`t work with the Mitsubishi glasses. Can you check and see if the IO emitter only work with the IO glasses?

Thank you.

I ordered Mitsubishi kit so I dont have it and am leaving tomorrow for Latvia for 4 weeks. I missed getting the last set that my dealer had by an hour. Emitters are different so I think the IO emitter will not work with Mits glasses.

Information overload..... Has anyone figured out the best method for achieving 3-D with a Mits DLP, PS3, and DTV?

For just playing games, it's been confirmed that you can connect the Mits adapter directly to the PS3, enable 3d mode, then move the adapter between the receiver and the TV. What's NOT confirmed is whether or not the adapter will work upstream of the TV (since the adapter supposedly needs to see a Mits TV EDID to work). The latter is important for watching 3d Bluray on the PS3, because the PS3 reportedly won't output checkerboard, and a 1.3 receiver won't understand a frame-packed signal (for extracting HD audio). If you don't care about HD audio, then it's not an issue: you can route the signal straight from the PS3 to the TV, and send optical to the receiver. It's also not an issue if you have an HDMI 1.4 receiver.

My dual Rythmik Servo sub project (actually quad now, need to update page)
HDM format neutral thanks to the pricing wars of the '07 xmas shopping season :)

Glewin,
You can try loading the Gefen with the EDID from the adapter instead.

Glewin, perhaps you live near an Ultimate Electronics? They carry Mits DLPs, and they would probably even let you use one to program the Gefen (don't quote me on that though).

I live in the Washington DC metro area so the closest Ultimate Electronics to me would be in Albany. I go to NY occasionally so I was hoping someplace there like J&R would have it but they apparently don't carry any Mitsubishi sets.

That is actually an amazing idea but I wonder if it will cause some kind of time paradox But seriously I'll give that a try as soon as it gets delivered, thanks.

That's where I bought my 65737. The stores are usually pretty empty. I stopped at the store in Tysons on my way home one day and I think the guy was pretty happy to see ANYBODY. I'm guessing if you tell them what you are doing, they will be pretty happy to help you out.

It's too bad that the brick and mortar shops are having so much trouble but part of the problem is that when I did a web seach for the Mitz DLPs they didn't even come up as a retailer, it was all online shops and places like BB and Target they don't carry DLPs in-store.

On a different subject, I noticed that the PS3 actually sets itself up for 3D based on the EDID information from the TV for screen size and TV type etc. Is that going to cause problems when using the adapter on a Samsung set since the DLP screen sizes are mostly different?
