XPand announced at CES that they are going to put out "customizable" active shutter glasses in April.

They look pretty comfortable to me.

Available in black, gray and red in male and female sizes, the new YOUNIVERSAL high-end glasses will begin shipping in April 2011 and will communicate with Infrared (IR), Bluetooth (BT), Radio Frequency (RF) and DLP-Link. The smart phone app will initially be available for Apple iPhone™ and Google Android™ platforms.

It sounds like they just renamed the X104 to YOUniversal.
Time to start saving pennies.

Yep... I was going to get some X103s for my Panny... but these look way too comfortable so I'll wait till April

Very excited about these glasses
as well, but the cost.....

They will be sold in a 4-pack but
I sort of doubt there will be major
savings even in bulk. Let's hope.

They were very comfortable with minimal crosstalk. Of course, the demo they were doing at CES was of a FPS on a PS3, so not the best material to test for artifacting.

Has anyone heard anymore about this glasses? From what I can tell they still haven't been released, but I have not been able to find an update on what the new release date is.

Yeah, the April release date came and went, and they changed it to "3rd Quarter, 2011"

My concern is the price. Yeah, probably the
best glasses out there --- but with other companies
now dropping prices on 3D eyewear, xPand is
charging a hell of a premium.
