I would like to do a dual projector passive 3D setup. I don't want to use a PC. It will be for Bluray only. Is there a convertor box like (3DXL or 3D Displayer) that takes the signal from a 3D bluray player and outputs the correct image to each projector? I know I need filters for each projector. What else is needed?

At the moment, this is no box available to convert hdmi1.4 directly to dual-outputs.
You have to use a series of devices (clone/splitter then two Optoma 3DXLs) which is quite expensive.

If you are interested in the Dual Projector setup, I suggest you have a look at the "ultimate 3D projector thread" in the 3000+$ projector section of this forum :

Their website doesn't seem to work at the moment.
I also can't find a shop that sells it, how much does it cost ?

I found a copy of the specs on a PDF brochure, it doesn't say clearly whether or not the unit supports stereo 1080p (full resolution) at more than 24Hz. (Full resolution 1080p60 is what interests me the most) I guess it does not though hdmi but the unit has a Display Port input... so.... maybe ?
Have you tried it on your unit ?

The hd fury 4 does just this, but you would need two of them. One for each projector set to left and right. These are 399 per box. I had one to try and make my 60 htz projector 3d but the flicker was just too much to deal with, but I would think it would work well for a dual projector set up. Keep in mind though it cost me 100 bucks to send it back to taiwan since it didn't work well enough for a 60 htz set to make it active shutter capable. Check out their website. Just google HD fury or 3d fury and you'll find it.

Yes it exists, I currently use it for my Dual projectors, but the open standardized ways of doing it aren't used currently.
Here are the ways I know of :
-Dual outs (what I use for my dual FullHD projectors)
-DVI Dual link + Nvidia 3D Vision proprietary format (you probably heard about it)
-DVI Dual link + Viewsonic/AMD proprietary format (used in 1 monitor and never used again)
-Display Port 1.1 / 1.2 standardized format (supported for 2 years by AMD cards and this year's new Nvidia cards : used by a couple of Samsung monitors)
-Hdmi 1.4 full bandwidth standardized format aka Hdmi 1.4 3GHz (supported by this year's AMD cards and this year's new Nvidia cards; but so far no display uses it)

1080p ..... 60Hz ?
What source and which connection did you try, I want to make that an absolute positive, otherwise this box would be completely useless to me, I am absolutely not interested by upscaling or up sampling.
I need 1080p, at 60Hz, with full resolution per eye, through a standardised input (I want to get rid of my dual-outputs from my PC to solve my software problems)

1080p60 SBS is nice for Xbox as a backup for PC, but the current PC graphics cards can provide better than that.
I need 1080p60 Full-resolution stereo through a single cable. (get rid of the dual-outs)

ive got an HDMI out ATI radion i will install and try with the 501 box. that would be a single cable out. ive got ut3 and CoD 4 that should test the ability to run in this setup on a PC. i too like to get away from the dual cables, other than the two hdmi for the projectors for now at least. im building a test bench prototype of my single projector solution tongue.gif

I'm looking forward for your results.
When I read the G501 specs I have some doubts it can do the full 1080p 60Hz Hdmi frame-packing.
Don't forget to also try the DisplayPort input, it may work differently.
