This looks similar the one Monoprice is selling - except it supports 1080p output.

http://www.dealextreme.com/p/1080p-h...onverter-92210

update : It is $78 here - http://www.aliexpress.com/product-fm...olesalers.html

one more vendor for just $64 - http://www.mart-shopping.com/2d-to-3...ox-ry-v3d.html

The details are sketchy - as they always are at deal extreme. But it looks like the unit puts out needed 1080p (probably SBS) output.

Quote:

- HDMI V1.3/1.4 input (resolution 480P/576P/720P/1080I/1080P)

- Supports max resolution: 1920 x 1080, full HD 1080P
- When playing on 2D TV, you shall use the included 3D glasses
- When playing on 3D TV, you shall use the shutter 3D glasses or polarized 3D glasses

Sorry, but no. The 1080p is an input resolution. The Monoprice box outputs only 720p. There is a 5-page (and counting) thread on the Monoprice box here:

It's the same price as the monoprice. Since the monoprice handles side by side half resulting in true 3D I think its a much better value. There's no indication from their spec other than 2d to 3d conversion that I would spring for them over the monoprice.

D3H blurb mentions SBS http://evik.en.alibaba.com/product/4...Converter.html
if it truly supports blue-amber then might be fun - if not too fatiguing to watch

think i'll bite - my main problem is E3D420VX isn't getting the proper aspect ratio - especially with widescreen movies (the vertical axis is squished somewhat) and that's so distractive that can't concentrate on converter quality. (3D Bee came yesterday - effects seem "mellow" - generally looks better in Z- mode)

"why are the 3D eyeglasses brown blue? Answer: This is relatively red because of the brown says is quite temperate, the human eye easy to adapt, the long time wears, the weary feeling does not have the safflower eyeglasses to be so intense" - does that mean its ~colorcode - or that the wearer will eventually adopt to the wrong filter? - LOL

This may be inferior to the monoprice in that it only supports 3D for anaglyph and not DLP as well for side by side input.

assuming it comes, will find out if it does anything well - would be happy if it really outputs colorcode anaglyph for my cheap 2D projector. -- still perplexed with getting widescreen movies to look right on E3D420VX so can't give the 3D Bee a good evaluation yet. Build-wise the Bee is in a light plastic case, there's two depth modes Z- and Z+, so far Z- looks best for the Bee. The 3D effect from the Bee is less "catchy" (and perhaps obvious) than on the Monoprice. If I ever sort the aspect problem out on E3D420VX then will be able to judge things a lot better than the torture of looking at squished images.

at least D3H's cardboard box looks similar to the Monoprice box :^)

I've got my Monoprice fed by a cheap Pioneer DV-220V-K set for 1920x1080 and it looks very good for little money. Blue-amber anaglyph can look better on skin tones than red-cyan.

The Monoprice unit IIRC (am using it currently with a 3D tv) outputs anaglyph only for red-blue glasses. True "Colorcode" (patented spectrum filters) blue-amber glasses are only cheap in cardboard variety as supplied for Superbowl broadcasts and won't know how well D3H looks til it arrives and is checked both with 2D pc monitor and 3D tv. Before I gave a 2D 42" plasma tv to a friend, I was too dumb to set a dvd player's resolution correctly to judge the Monoprice unit with red-cyan glasses - ask others on how they like its colors in that mode. I'm impressed with the Monoprice 3D Creator running into a 3DTV with polarized glasses.

anaglyph would only be for a cheap 2D projector that's not currently in use (and possibly my 2D pc monitor - if its compatible) - I love the Monoprice unit with polarized glasses

that's a much better price then what they ask at Ebay auctions.. Vefxi's 3D-Bee is very smooth with my E3D420VX and polarized glasses but rather expensive - 3D Bee produces a more rounded/homogenized picture vs the Monoprice giving a more discrete planes look.

I dont have a 3D dlp vp, or a 3D tv than i dont care about dlp glasses. I will use anaglyph system.
What mode do you think give me a better picture quality in a 2D HDTV with the anaglyph glasses to watch movies?
1º A downloaded 3D anaglyph mkv file using a media player directly to the TV.

2º A side by side half file converted to anaglyph with This device or the monoprice.

3º A 2D file converted to 3D anaglyph with these converters.

4º Or the picture quality with anaglyph glasses is similar in the 3 options.

Thank you

If the source is already 3D - this should give you the best picture. Otherwise - who knows ? You would have to experiment and see.

Checkerboard is what DLP RPTVs use for 3D format.

This one accepts Top & Bottom and frame packing.
Anybody knows if this means that this box can handle ps3 games and blu-rays?
