I am new to 3D and have several questions. Any help is much appreciated!
(1) I have a Samsung LN46C750 3D TV, a Panasonic DMP-BDT110 3D Blu-Ray player, and am thinking about getting a Onkyo HT-S5400 7.1 Channel Home Theater package that supports 3D pass through. What glasses are needed so that my wife can watch movies in 3D?
(2) I am just about completely blind in one eye. Therefore, 3D movies won't work for me since I am not able to see with both eyes. My understanding is that if you look at a 3D picture on a screen without glasses, it looks skewed/smeared because the two shifted images can be seen simultaneously. So, if I get whatever glasses are needed from question #1 above and just black out one side since I can't see out of that eye, will the movie just appear in regular 2D through my good eye. Basically, would I just see the image intended for my good eye side or is something else missing? I'm basically trying to find a way that my wife and I can enjoy a 3D movie together, but she will see it in 3D and I will [somehow] just be able to see it in 2D.
(3) Even though I have the equipment (TV, player, etc.), is it possible to play a 3D movie in regular 2D mode?
Thanks for the help in understanding 3D and how I can make it work for my wife and I. I appreciate it!
