Hey guys, new to AVS here. I'm using a Samsung PN51D550 1080P Plasma Active 3D display, and for some godforsaken reason, no matter what setting I change on this blasted TV, I get TERRIBLE crosstalk. I'm using the standard $50 glasses that came included with the TV.

Ghosting/Crosstalk is even evident in bright screens. Especially noticable in dark scenes. I've tried everything from adjusting the Perspective to changing the Contrast and Brightness. Still too severe to enjoy 3D viewing. I sit approximately 7-8 feet from the display.

I've read everywhere that these TV's hardly have any crosstalk issues. What gives? Thanks in advance!

UPDATE:

No crosstalk when using the TV's built-in 3D upscaling. Crosstalk occurs during Xbox 360 gaming (I.E. Crysis 2, lots of crosstalk near hands, etc.), and when playing SBS 3D files from my PC. I'm running an ATI Radeon HD 5450, which runs via HDMI 1.3. I also have an Onkyo HDMI receiver with 3D Passthrough, which both my 360, PS3, PC connect to. The AV receiver handles all the input changes, as I'm using just one HDMI connection to the TV.

I had a Passive 3D Vizio before this with the same setup, and NEVER experienced crosstalk issues like this...

May be a frame rate thing. The built-in upscaling might not be at full frame rate. Frame rate would not have effected the Visio. Try tunable glasses, maybe?

Possibly. I'm beginning to think these Samsung glasses aren't exactly top-of-the-line. A lot of light from the opposing image bleeds through on these things. They are the SSG-3100GB model. Any info on the 3D quality of these?

EDIT: Perhaps a battery issue on these glasses?

3d intensity in the content. adjust it to 0. go the games setting in the game and change the 3D INTENSITY and lower it

I'm not sure where you read this. These displays definitely have crosstalk, (I have 59" plasma sammy).
