Anyone know if I can get a better picture with the Z10000 by recording from the HDMI output? I get very good video and have removed the plastic window from the camera and replaced it with a glass filter holder. Sharpened the image. Love this camera, just want to get the most out of it.

Theoretically it should be possible to capture the hdmi-output - with tools like the Blackmagic Intensity for example.

But I am not sure about the format where you can capture. The manual says that you will have 1080 60i with hdmi, even if you switch to 1080 24p if you shoot your videos.

Kind regards,
