I have a 2009 Mitsubishi that needs the 3dc-1000 adapter for cable output of top/bottom SBS 3D but my htpc already outputs checkerboard 3D.

As it is now, I have to manually go behind the TV and change connectors and it's a huge pain.

What should I do?

I really don't like the idea of renting a cable box. Just got rid of it for the cablecard hdhr.

Not sure if this is the answer to your exact problem, but I have a 3-1 HDMI switcher that I use to connect multiple devices to one input on my HDTV:
http://www.amazon.com/ViewHD-Switcher-Switch-1-Out-Pigtail/dp/B0026COIQ2/

It automatically changes to the active device. I have a TiVo and PS3 on mine. When I turn on the PS3 the device automatically switches to it. When I turn off the PS3 it switches back to the TiVo.

Actually, through an entire day of research, I think I have figured this out.

Windows media center is responsible (yet again) for the 3D adapter not passing thru the right data with the 3DC connected.

Aside from the 29/59 bug, I'll be busy tomorrow.

Htpc 3D is absolutely not for beginners. If I didn't have 30 years of using and programming a PC, I would have given up and bought a 3D br player and rented a f'in cable box.

There is no reason it should be this hard. This is about the 8th thread I've posted about this in 2 weeks. Someone should be drawn and quartered for this crap.
