So, I do not want to change my entire glasses system to DLP Link, are the g7's my only option for kids IR?

May be no one understands "g7's" as a term. Now first question:

Are you using the Mitsubsihi starter kit 3DC-1000? that came with glasses and IR emitter or are you using another brand of glasses and emitter?

If you are using the IR emitter and glasses from the Mitsubishi kit, you can use any Samsung glasses with model numbers SSG2100 or SSG22# these glasses with first digit of 21 or 22 are IR glasses. Any Samsung glasses of SSG-3#### or SSG4#### are RF glasses and not compatible. Samsung a one time had kids IR glasses but I do not know of the current avaliblity. You can also check for kids glasses by Xpand (103 or 104 series) or 3D Active and maybe some other brands but I have not studied kids glasses so cannot promise there are any.

These should work. I have them for my Epson 3010 and they work great. They are "universal" and they list the Mits DLP
s as compatible.

Yer welcome!

Ed

UPDATE!!! After closer observation I need to change this to "they work" but not great. There is considerable ghosting that I didn't notice initially. Should have viewed longer with them but that's hard to do when you can't put 'em on your head because they're so small.

I don't mean to hi jack the thread here.

Hey Old Corps, I just got my daughter the pink pair. I have them a full charge and sync them with my epson 3010 but I get horrible ghosting when I look through the lenses. Any ideas? When I use my 3rd gen panasonic glasses I get a flawless image. Thanks in advance.

Gotta admit you are correct.mad.gif Since they are too small to actually put on my head I have to hold them up to my eyes as best I can. When I got them I was just happy that they work but on closer observation I have to admit the ghosting is pretty bad a lot of the time.rolleyes.gif Hope I didn't cause anyone to get them that'll be disappointed with 'em. For ME, I don't think the ghosting will bother young kids so I won't send them back but I sure wish it wasn't there. I also have the Panny 3rd gen (small & medium), PS3s as well as the Epsons. No ghosting problems with those. Unfortunately, the Panny small size isn't very small. They fit my fat head just fine....

Ed

BTW GEP, these are the G7s.

Thanks very much Old Corps. For my daughter I think they are just fine for the price. I scored 2 pairs of the panny 3rd gens for $40 cash and they are super light and bright. Thanks again. Happy Holidays.

Your welcome Steve. I don't think my 5 & 6 year old grandsons will mind too much, lol. Great price you scored on the Panny's, mine cost me $60 @ pair! Work great and VERY comfortable though.

Happy Holidays to you and your family as well.

Finally got some ssg-2100kr for my little one. I was extremely afraid that he'd drop my adult glasses, glad I finally found him a pair for a reasonable price.

This weekend should be fun!
