3d image depth missing in dual projector circular polarized setup - AVS Forum

Hi, am facing problem that in dual projector setup...am not getting 3d depth...picture is looking like 2d ...depth is missing

i am using 2 ms660 benq dlp projectors with circular polarized filters

silver screen
dual output nvidea card
stereoscopic player
3d content - sbs


my issue is picture when projected ...in dual projector mode... output looks flat...not 3d at all


Any one ...any idea what could be the reason...

With active glasses, when 3D appears 2D, it's usually because the right and left lens opening times (polarity) are reversed. You may have inadvertently installed your polarizing filters reversed, so that the right eye is seeing the left eye's view, and vice-versa.

That doesn't make it look like 2D, though, it just gives you a splitting headache when you try to focus on something.

I do agree that it sounds like something in the setup of the lenses, that they may be misaligned. You do still see the "double image" without the glasses on, right?

Agreed. I find the effect varies with the image's depth from roughly 2D to as if I were crosseyed. The latter isn't any fun!smile.gif
