iv looked everywhere for an answer on how to fix this problem. When playing fps on my ps3 there is a very noticeable lag from the time i move the joystick to the movement on the screen. my 3d tv does not have a gaming setting on it. all it has is 3d mode, deph settings, no smooth motion settings. is there anyway of fixing this or is there a setting on the ps3 that would help. i have it hooked up to a hdmi cable.

Nope, not really. The only thing you can do is turn off any extra processing your AVR and TV has including the 3D.

I would do a search for the tv you have and gaming lag and see what comes up. Chances are someone has experienced it and has found ways to reduce the lag.

In general the newer the TV, the less input lag, but thats not always the case. So upgrading your TV may help. You might try noise reduction and any other setting you can find just to be sure...

Good luck.

If it's LG, set the input label to PC for slightly less lag. It's not perfect but for console gaming it's fine.
