I ordered a set of Panny TY-ER3D4MU glasses off Amazon a few weeks ago. They're sold through Abes Of Maine. Abes sent me an email last week stating my order won't ship for another month due to these glasses being on production hold at the factory. Amazon just sent me an email cancelling my order due to no stock being left. Is this an Abes issue or have others had their orders from other sources cancelled recently as well? If not, where are you buying these from? Direct from Panasonic?

I know the price had been jumping up a bit so I picked up a pair of the 3Active glasses over the weekend. Also testing out the Samsung 5100 on my Panny tonight.

I might check out the 3Active glasses since no one locally sells the Panny glasses, including Best Buy. Are those compatible with the the VT50? I'll have to do more research.

I would think so but am not totally sure. I have the WT50. I can report that the Samsung 5100's worked really well with my TV. Looking forward to the 3Actives as the light blocking will be better.

Production hold is better than discontinued, but what's going on with this? The VT50 doesn't come with ANY glasses, and now there are none to buy, so what are we to do?

In using the Samsung 5100s, did you find that they paired well (and stayed paired), and didn't let in too much ambient light? I watch 3D movies in a very dark room, so that shouldn't be an issue, but just wondering.

They paired very easily. Just hot the button and they were working immediately. They do let in light from the side, hence my desire to secure a pair of the 3Actives. But I have a big window behind me that creates glare during the day, if you are watching in a dark room I don't expect them to be an issue.

What model TV are you using? And what model of the 3Actives did you order? The strange thing about the 3Actives, at least on Amazon, is that the pictures of the 2012 Panny glasses look different from the pictures for the 2- and 4-packs of the 2012 Panny glasses, so I'm not really sure what I'd be getting, or if there's more than one version of the 2012 3Actives.

I have no facts to base this on, but I imagine Panasonic is getting ready to roll out some 2013 glasses.

I tried to look on their web site, and they indicate there are new ones, but when I click on them - there is no information.

I have to believe in a month or two we'll have the 2013 version of these glasses available.

I agree it is frustrating. I want another pair or two, but I'll just have to wait.

I'm using the Samsung glasses as well... they are a nice, cheaper alternative. The Panny glasses are better, but the Samsung glasses are almost as good, and much less expensive.

You may be correct, but keep in mind that the 2012 glasses didn't work with the 2011 sets. If the same is true for the 2013 glasses, and the 2012 glasses are in fact discontinued, we're screwed. Well, we're not since we clearly have other alternatives, but screwed in the sense of not being able to use the proper OEM equipment.

I have the WT50 LED. The 3Actives I got were the single pair on Amazon with the 2012 Panny Description. Got them yesterday but didn't have a chance to try them out. Feel great though.

We should know soon. Panasonic claims the 60 series ships next month, and we can check the manual.

Their web site is a hot mess. Minimal information.

I picked up a set of Samsung 4100 glasses and a set of Xpand X105BT on Amazon since they're on clearance. I should receive them shortly. Another user here on the forums already reported that the Xpand works with the VT50 so I'm looking forward to giving them a try. They look very comparable to the Panny glasses and are rechargeable as well.
