Good day folks,
I'm looking to get a 3D projector (Acer H6510BD). This is my 1st time venturing into the 3D world. Need some advice on video cards.
My current setup consists of the following;
Asus P5K3 Premium/WIFI-AP MB
Intel Core2 Q6600 CPU @ 2.4GHz
OCZ Fatal1ty 8GB RAM
SanDisk Extreme SSD 240GB Sata III
(2) Samsung EcoGreen 2TB
(2) Samsung Spinpoint 1TB
Jaton PX309 Quad DVIRadeon HD3450 1GB
Windows 7 Professional
HD Homerun Prime
(3) Acer G235HAbd 23" LCD Monitors
I am not a gamer. What I am big on is watching HD movies via PC (got rid of all my cables boxes after purchasing the HD HomerunPrime). The PX309 is powering the three Acers and the Panny PJ. I know the PX309 isn't a great card, but I got it when one of my X1650XT's had died. So instead of just replacing the one X1650XT I decided to try out the PX309 (liked the idea of quad DVI). Realized too late that it wasn't such a great card for what I needed. The PX309 gives me a WEI Graphics score of 3.2. And I have noticed jittery HD playback from time to time.
Anyhow, I'm now trying to prepare for the H6510BD's arrival. Want to be able to enjoy some 3D movies eventually. With so many factors in a video card (cuda cores, memory size, stream processors, memory type, memory interface), my head hurts!
Please advise on what I should be looking for to enjoy HD and 3D movies.
I've been looking at the following;http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0083YIGXI/ref=ox_sc_act_title_3?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008RIEOBS/ref=ox_sc_act_title_1?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DERhttp://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B008Y8PON8/ref=ox_sc_act_title_2?ie=UTF8&psc=1&smid=ATVPDKIKX0DER
All the above cards say Blu-Ray 3D support.
I'm trying to get a card that has a minimum of 1GB memory size & 128 bit memory interface. Honestly, I have no idea what to look for when it comes to cuda cores, stream processors, and the rest. Don't even know if they're important for what I need. I know, obviously, the more of something, the better. I'm just not looking to spend $500+ per card.
As you can see, I'm trying to stay at about $50 to $65 per card.
Are the cards I've linked good for what I'm looking to do? If so, which one is better?
Thanks in advance for your help
