I have an JVC X3 and while I think it is magic, I have never been able to get a 3D picture from a directly-connected laptop to display.
BD-based, or ripped/downloaded commercial 3D movies (in AVI or ISO format) sent across the network from my NAS media storage (in another room) through my TVix AVR all work fine, but I have never been able to get either 3D stills or 3D AV's, recorded on my Fuji W3 3D camera, to display in 3D, even when connected directly to the X3.
I can only assume, because of my limited knowledge of these things, that it is because I need to use a VGA-HDMI adapter to connect and that the X3 probably can't understand the format packing around the clips.
Next step for me to try is to use an editor and repack them into something the projector recognises.
